*sobs* Its dead

Well this is a sorry day for me to be saying this but I'm afraid that this blog is pretty much dead for me. I've officially moved to LJ -- you can find the link here. Anyone's welcome to link to me there. I will miss pitas a lot, but I simply am unable to maintain two blogs anymore.

Oh yeah, fic

Oh yeah I forgot to post this up earlier since I've been kinda neglecting the fic writing business. But the Epilogue of Subaru, Seishirou and the Hokkaido Getaway is up now on Clampesque and my Fanfic site. Enjoy.

More Hokkaido

Been a while since I posted here. I don't know if anyone even reads this blog anymore ~_~. Anyway, I think I'm doing pretty good in publishing one chapter a month now. Anyway, chapter 6 of Subaru, Seishirou and the Hokkaido Getaway written with Mizu can be found at Clampesque or at my Butterfly Dreams. Enjoy.

Chocolatey goodness

I indulged myself in one orange chocolate truffle this Valentine's Day. Powdery cocoa dusted on top of creamy rich goodness with a dash of orange fragrance hidden deep inside. Damn, these chocolates from Japan are really fantastic. The advertising says the best milk from Hokkaido cows. Yummy. Now must resist the urge to eat more.

This is for all you Ragnarok Online fanatics out there. For some reason I got to watch a taiwanese programme today and I literally fell over when I saw an ad for RO come on.

Just a short description: There's this young lady who's lying in the hospital bed and her really handsome bishounen boyfriend (yeah I want me one of those guys!) is saying, "oh let me die if only you would be all right" so he becomes a spirit and transforms into *drumrolls* Angelring! *giggles madly* Anyway she recovers and tries to call missing boyfriend aka Angelring but he's not there. So she eventually she falls for the doctor who takes care of her. Then at the wedding, Angelring shows up and starts shedding tears and says "Let me be your Angel Poring". The ad is accompanied by this really nice Japanese song in which I can make out some words like Sayonara and Uta. The whole thing is insanely cute and sad and I have no clue who cRO is targetting to play this game but I was just so delighted to see it that I had to share. Hehehehe.

In a fit of industrious activity, I finally finished the Chapter 3 edit to Even in Death. If anyone's following, please note the disclaimer for the violence and er... sex. *sweatdrops* Yeah, this chapter was a bit hard on me to do, hope people won't be too harsh on it.

Chrno Crusade

It's been ages since I found a new anime worth sitting and marathoning over. Usually I'm so impatient that one or two eps will bore me and I'll stop. So I was pleasantly surprised to discover this new show: Chrno Crusade which is showing tonnes of potential to be really good. Besides there's a white long-haired guy in a white coat with glasses being deliciously evil to recommend for it. Bwa ha ha. I think I like it, though I've still not made up my mind which bishie I like the best, although Minister Remington has a lovely Seiyuu, I think. Anyway, if anyone has seen it and wants to chat with me about it, come AIM me. ^^V.

Happy New Year

Yep it's that time of the year again when I over eat and get bored in the company of relatives for the sake of some little packets of money. ^__^. This Chinese New Year has been all right, although at the moment, I'm bored to tears without the company of my krystalrose.

Anyway, we had some visitors yesterday, mostly my cousins and that was pretty good. Amiable conversation and we didn't have to play host for very long. Then today, we got to go out to visit two of my aunts. Now one of them, who's just a bit older than my mom is fine and looking reasonably hale and hearty. She didn't make any snippy comments to me this year, which is good because she used to have a tendency to try to put me down. Then we progressed to the home of another aunt, who's just a year older than my dad. That's where we got a shock. It seems that in the past year, she's deteriorated badly to the point where she no longer recognises anybody at all. She went through several rounds of asking us to identify ourselves and even then, throughout the whole visit, she kept mistaking everybody. And this is quite a close aunt of the family, so in general, it was sad to see her so decrepit. *sighs* I don't want to grow old.

And oh, Happy Year of the Monkey to all of you out there who celebrate this occasion. Cheers!

My cat is okay

At last, after all these weeks and months, I bring my cat to the vet, with much trepidation because if you've been following my saga with her, you'll know that she's been sick for all this time. So I bring her in and the vet takes her temperature and hooray, she's fine. So she got a vaccination and some more vitamins to take which hopefully she'll eat. Congratulate me. I'm so happy for her. But I was a bit disgruntled when the vet said she seems to be moody because her face was scowling. You can guess I didn't reply to that. I mean, how else could my cat be when a thermometer is stuck up her ass? Anyway I'm just very pleased that she's recovered.

Random Thoughts

I've been wanting to post on my blog for a while now since I've been so quiet and I don't want people to think that I've died or fallen off the face of the earth. But there's really not been much happening in my life. The only thing I can think of is that I received two very nice presents today. One from Hana and one from Cocoa. Thanks Hana for the Gundam Seed episodes! I'm so glad that you eventually remembered and sent tem to me. Thank you thank you. I know you've been terribly busy which is why I've not IM-ed you. But I hope you're well.

As for Cocoa, thanks again for the Fake manga. I love it. Now I want to find volumes 2 and 3 to read.

In a related but different matter, I got hold of the first two copies of Hack: The legend of Twilight Bracelet in english and read them and I was laughing so hard when a character named Kamui showed up. She, yes its a she, is a real badass. The irony is that Hack.Sign has a character named Subaru! Also a "she". *dies giggling* Shades of X! Now I want Seishirou and Fuuma to show up. ^____^

Kitty update

Update on my poor sick kitty. So far so good. She's eating her antibiotics. We're trying a new trick now, which is to roll the pill in a ball of her favourite salmon terrine and stuffing it down her throat. At least it stops her foaming at the mouth. She strill struggles like crazy though, so it's quite a job for my Dad and I to feed her. I also got a tube of multivitamin gel, which she's eating without too much fuss too. Hopefully that will help boost her immunity. The key thing is to get her fever down I think, but once again she's walking around sneezing her nose off. My poor baby.

Moving on, Krystal and I posted a new chapter of Balance to our fig blog Orizzonte. It's weird that no matter what, we still love our two boys, yes so much so that we now have descended into new levels of geekiness and created Ragnarok Online characters named Seishirou-san and Subaru-kun, just to RP out these two. It should be fun to see Seishirou-san throw fireballs at monsters. Or cast soul strike. Hehehehe. And Subaru-kun is definitely getting Holy Light.

My poor sick kitty

Some not very good news. I brought my cat to the vet today for a check up and guess what, as usual she's running a fever. So she's sick again and I have to forcefeed her pills. I feel like such a pusher. My poor baby must be the most fragile cat in this country. *sighs* I guess this is what comes of getting a pampered pedigreed persian.

In other news, I bought XXXholic volume 2 and Tsubasa volume 2 and there was a very nice gift inside each of the volumes. There were two bookmarks, which placed together made a very lovely picture. Sakura and Syaoran together with Watanuki and Yuuko. They do look very nice for het couples. Quite worth getting guys, if you're wondering about whether to foot out the cash for it or not.

Merry Christmas

Many Christmas wishes to everyone on my friends' list. Yes, it's already Christmas here and I've got my gifts, which oddly enough, consisted entirely of costume jewellery. Anyway, ate and indulged in lots of high calorie food last night, and had a pleasant evening playing games with the rest of my family. Back to work for me again today.

*hugs and kisses to everyone once more*

ROTK and Birthday wishes

Thanks to the handful of people who remembered my birthday and sent me wishes. I admit I was a bit depressed yesterday morning over it. It's because every time my birthday comes around, I tend to get sad because I'm always alone.

Anyway, Alison got us tickets to the Return of the King movie premiere. I got a nice goodie bag, and two posters that I don't really know what to do with. I'm just glad I'm not in the LOTR fandom so I don't feel much attachment to the merchandize.

As for the movie, well, I'll be general since I know everyone will go watch it for themselves. I enjoyed it, despite all the blatant departures from the book. For a three and a half hour long movie, I didn't feel it dragged at all. Too bad there was so little Legolas, although the elf sure does look nice when all cleaned up and dressed in his princely clothes. And the stunts of course... good stunts. Anyone who wants spoilers can come talk to me on AIM. ^__^

I've been pretty out of things lately but it seems to me that there has been a sudden resurgence of vitriol against the Subaru x Kamui pairing. I'm really confused about where this is all coming from, but I guess no one is going to explain it to me?

At any rate, I'm a person who likes just about any pairing as long as the story is well written and there's context presented. And conversely, anyone can take a canon pairing and make it so terrible and wrong that I wince while reading it. Just an example: like those stories on where the cast of X are students/teachers in school together. So, no point really, just some general confusion about what's going on since I seem to be a bit behind, not having read all those deleted and locked posts. Sigh...

Anyway I sent out a bunch of Xmas gifts so you guys who are near and dear to me, watch out for good things in your mail! *bounces*

Well my online social life has disappeared this week thanks to three reasons.

1. My new shift starts in earnest and I'm spending more time at the office, travelling to and from work (I now take the bus since taxi fare is not compensated) and sleeping a bit more. Yes, since I'm allowed to sleep proper hours, I'm indulging in 8 hours nightly which is 2 more than what I previously had before. This works out to me having something like only 4 hours free time online a day, instead of the 8 or 10 that I had before. Yeah I lived in front of the machine before but my brain wasn't functioning too well then. At least now, my memory has come back to me and I'm finding that I actually know what's going on instead of wading through the day as if I were in a fog all the time.

2. The second reason why I've been a bit out of it this week is that I'm still quite ill with the runny nose and cough but I have to go into work anyway because there's no one to substitute. Heh heh, this is one time I find it bad to be indispensible. I've also had to take care of my cat, who seems to need a second visit to the vet. She still all fluey with the cat flu, my poor baby.

3. And the third reason why my 4 short hours online are entirely eaten up is Krystalrose's fault. She's dragged me into playing Ragnarok Online. And my god, its addictive. Hopefully I'll get tired of it after a month or two and I'll return to being social again. Gomen to everyone who've I've been ignoring lately.

Good thing that Mizu and I were able to post Chapter 4 of Subaru, Seishirou and the Hokkaido Getaway this week. Anyone interested can find it at Butterfly Dreams. Those of you wanting more of the vampy fic, I'll try to get it in by this weekend. Five chapters are up at My ficblog now. ^^V

I have manga!

So the yummy Kinokuniya sale is on again so first thing today, I scuttle downtown to the store and bought up a storm. I now have Tsubasa 1, XXXholic 1, Gorgeous Carat 3 and 4 -- these in chinese, the X First Contact Artbook in Japanese and a huge haul of english manga. These include X 6 and 7, Saiyuki Reload 1 and 2, Fake 4 (which means I have to find Fake 1-3 *sweatdrops*) and Clamp School Defenders Dukylon 1 and 2. Wow, I'm so pleased with myself.

Anyway after I get home, the english volume for X 6 broke my brain thanks to the synopsis. It writes:
Kamui is forced into a psychic duel with Zukamori Sakura while his powerless childhood friend Kotori gets drawn into the fight... etc

Wrong much? What the hell have they done to Seishirou's title?!

Eaten by SIMs

The SIMs have eaten me. Yes, playing this game is just absolutely fun with X characters. My current X Subaru has an adorable Hokuto cat. I'm playing him in character by having him be anti-social and ignoring all the people who keep coming to his house to ring his doorbell. Now I'm having all sorts of nasty thoughts about what to inflict on him. Like if I gave him a Seishirou and have Seishirou die, then Subaru could weep and wail at the sight of his gravestone. And maybe at night, Seishirou ghost would come back and Subaru would freak out! BWA HA HA HA! I feel so evil....

Back at work

Now that I'm back at work, I'm officially not a vampire anymore. There's something really wonderful about feeling like one is NOT walking about in a fog and actually being able to concentrate. I realized that I was probably a great deal more fatigued than I had let on. Thank goodness that's all over now, although I do miss Beth and Mizu and all the other people who kept me company in the wee hours of the night.
That said, the disadvantage is that I won't be able to do things on weekends anymore since I get rostered to work then. Much sucketh. ~_~

Bunch of stuff happened

Went to see Matrix Revolutions. I'm not going to say much about it becos I know lots of people have yet to see it. It was all right, although splattered with tonnes of mysterious mumbo jumbo in between lots of fighting. Some slashy moments, but not as many as I'd have liked. Still I enjoyed myself. *giggles*

Then I visited my niece and my sister, and came home with several of The SIMs add-on packs. So now I have the SIMs on my computer. Now does anyone out there know where I can get SIMs Skins of X characters? Or if they have them, to be willing to pass them over to me? Pretty please?

And oh yes, I was very happy to have found more Reeses peanut butter cups at an obscure supermarket today. Whee! Naturally I glomped on them since I like them so much. *beams* That does sound pathetic, but I do like them so much.

Nokoru, Suoh and Akira!

Oh my! The Clamp Campus Detectives are in Chapter 22 of Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle! They look a bit different, older but not old as in X. And they're drawn in Tsubasa style. But the three of them are still cute, and Nokoru is still as nice to the ladies as ever. *sparkles*

Adjusting and having a good time

I seem to be making progress at forcing my body to adjust back to a more "normal" timezone. So Beth, no more Vampire Lady for me. At any rate, I have a week of vacation to adjust.

So it was an action packed Saturday for me. I went out to visit Alison and fondle her cats. They're growing up so quickly. And thanks to her Earl Grey tea, I stayed nice and awake during our MST-ing of Matrix, all in preparation for watching Matrix 3 later this week. Whee! Rainbow Bridge, here we come!
Anyway after a late lunch and shopping with her, during which I possibly bought the last bag of Reeces pieces in Singapore, (I feel so pathetic), I went back home and promptly went out again to dinner with my family. Yes, dinner with the family is rare these days. It was quite a good dinner, with cold crab among other dishes. And then we went walking and shopping by the riverside, which was rather touristy. Since it was Halloween, there were a lot of well-on-the-way-to-drunk tourists playing around with Asian girls (the nationalities of which I shall not say here but they were not locals). Came home after that and got started on the next CS Friedman book "When True Night Falls" that Alison lent me. In all, a busy, fun filled day. ^__^
